I just finished my second reading of William Sahakian’s, Outline History of Philosophy. I bought the book during my undergraduate days in the ’70s and just this month picked it up again for the first time in over 30 years. I had forgotten just how good this book is. This is a fantastic resource for studying, in brief format, the history of philosophy through the modern Existentialist movement. Dr. Sahakian does a great job of providing an account of the major philosophers, their philosophic schools and their influence upon later thinkers. You will reward yourself by picking up a copy. Though several decades old, it has grown into a classic resource. Go get it now.
